The .22 version of H&N's Excite Plinking, this is a ribbed flat-head wadcutter at 12.81 grains, made for the shooting you do for the sake of it rather than for a card. Buying it means your match or hunting pellets last considerably longer. The wadcutter head cuts a clean round hole in paper instead of tearing it, so targets stay readable and near misses are easy to call, and the ribbed skirt seats squarely and feeds without fuss. H&N rate it to 10 metres from a minimum 12 ft/lbs, which is a realistic working distance for casual target work rather than a headline figure. It is made on the same lines and to the same tolerances as the rest of the H&N range, so it is consistent enough to be worth shooting - it simply is not sorted and finished to competition standard, which is where the price difference comes from.
