The H&N Slug HP is a hollow-point airgun slug built for high-powered PCP air rifles, holding its accuracy at ranges well beyond 50 metres where conventional diabolo pellets run out of steam. Its bullet-shaped profile gives a notably high ballistic coefficient, which translates into a flat trajectory and strong energy retention downrange — exactly what you want for rabbits, corvids and other pest control at extended distances. This tin holds 200 slugs in .22 calibre with a .217 (5.51 mm) head diameter and a weight of 25 grains, and each one is coated with a special lubricant to cut barrel friction. H&N recommend a minimum muzzle energy of 25 joules, with 40 to 60 joules ideal — so this is ammunition for FAC-rated air rifles rather than sub-12 ft·lb guns — and barrels with a faster twist rate made specifically for slugs will give the best groups. Every slug is visually inspected, hand packed and secured for transport with foam pads in H&N's standard screw-top tin.
