The Hawke Frontier 30 FD 1-10x24 Mil FD is a low-powered variable optic (LPVO) designed for fast close-range target acquisition at 1× and precise engagement out to medium distances at 10×. Built around a 30 mm mono-tube chassis with Hawke's H7 optics — high-grade, low-dispersion Crown glass with 21-layer fully multi-coated lenses — it delivers a genuinely wide field of view of 38.8 m at 100 m on minimum power, narrowing to 3.9 m at maximum. The first focal plane Mil FD reticle scales with magnification, so Mil-based holdovers and ranging references remain accurate across the entire power range rather than being restricted to a single setting. A multi-LED illuminated centre aids rapid transitions from full panoramic shooting to magnified precision work. Elevation and windage turrets are exposed Zero Lock 'n' Stop units adjusting in 1/10 MRAD increments, with a resettable zero and push-pull locking to hold your zero through rough handling. The scope ships with a removable zoom throw lever for quick power changes and professional metal flip-up lens covers. Weighing 540 g at 283 mm long, it sits well on modern sporting rifles and is nitrogen-purged for waterproof and fog-proof performance across variable weather.
