The HIKMICRO HS17P is a handheld touchscreen display unit built to work with the HIKMICRO Explorer E20 Plus, the brand's clip-on thermal imaging camera for smartphones. Rather than relying on a phone screen in the field, the HS17P gives you a dedicated 5-inch 1280 x 720 HD LCD touchscreen for viewing, adjusting and configuring the thermal image, so you can check settings and change the display palette without handling your phone. It also acts as a power source for the connected monocular via its reverse-charging function, extending your time in the field. The unit runs on two 18650 batteries (50g each) and draws less than 2.5W on its own or under 10W when powering the monocular too, connecting via a USB Type-C port. Measuring 185.1 x 147.9 x 162.2mm and weighing 324g without batteries, it's built to work from -30°C to 55°C, so it copes with cold dawn stalks as well as summer vermin control.
