A high seat left on a tree between visits is an easy target, and a trail camera even more so. The HME Cable Lock is an adjustable double-loop cable lock built to keep both where you left them. The 8 mm (0.315 in) cable adjusts anywhere from 6 ft down to 6 in, so it pulls up snug around a mature trunk and ladder frame, or cinches tight on a slim stem holding a camera bracket, leaving no slack for a thief to work with. The lock body is aluminium alloy with an ABS plastic cover, so it shrugs off rain and frost through a full season outdoors. A simple three-position mechanism covering lock, clinch and unlock makes it quick to fit and release with cold hands at first light. For anyone running high seats and trail cameras across a permission, one of these on each site is cheap insurance against losing far more expensive kit.
