The Hornady InterLock Soft Point is a traditional hunting component bullet built for reloaders loading .303 calibre rifles. At .312" diameter and 150 grains, this soft point bullet is well suited to stalking and woodland hunting at moderate ranges. The exposed lead tip initiates expansion on impact for hard-hitting terminal performance, while the exclusive InterLock ring — a raised feature embedded in the bullet's core — keeps the jacket and core locked together throughout expansion to retain mass and deliver deep penetration. Inner grooves strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket for consistent, controlled expansion even at longer range, and the tapered jacket is precision-controlled in thickness to ensure proper function across the full range of velocities. A one-piece core eliminates the core separation that can occur with two-piece designs, maximising energy transfer and wound channel size for quick, clean kills. The secant ogive geometry, pioneered by Hornady, produces a ballistically efficient profile with low drag and excellent stability.
