Hornady International .308 Winchester 150 grain ECX is factory-loaded centrefire rifle ammunition built around Hornady's ECX (Extreme Copper alloy eXpanding) bullet — a monolithic, lead-free projectile designed to meet the requirements of European hunters and stalkers. The ECX is machined from copper alloy with no separate lead core, delivering reliable controlled expansion on impact together with excellent weight retention, which makes for consistent terminal performance on deer and medium-to-large game across a range of shot distances. Lead-free construction makes this round appropriate wherever non-lead or non-toxic ammunition is required or preferred, including many areas of Scotland and upland ground where restrictions apply. The .308 Winchester is the most widely available stalking calibre in the UK, chambered in a broad range of bolt-action rifles. Brass-cased and boxer-primed, the cases are fully reloadable. Supplied in a box of 20 rounds. A valid Section 1 Firearms Certificate (FAC) is required to purchase centrefire rifle ammunition in the UK.
