Hornady Match .308 Win 168gr ELD Match is a precision centrefire rifle cartridge loaded specifically for competitive target shooting and long-range accuracy work. The ELD Match (Extremely Low Drag Match) bullet uses Hornady's Heat Shield tip to maintain a consistent, perfect meplat that resists aerodynamic deformation in flight — a characteristic that translates to superior ballistic coefficients and reduced drag variability compared to conventional boat-tail hollow-point designs. Each bullet is formed with an AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) jacket for concentricity and uniformity. Cases are selected for consistent wall thickness and internal capacity, powder charges are matched precisely to the load, and every round is assembled under stringent quality control to deliver lot-to-lot consistency. From a 24-inch test barrel the load produces a muzzle velocity of 2,700fps. Sold in boxes of 20. Hornady item number 80966.
