The Hornady 9mm .355" 124 grain Full Metal Jacket Round Nose (FMJ RN) is a component bullet for handloaders loading 9mm Luger and similar 9mm pistol cartridges. At 124 grains this is close to the standard service weight for 9mm, making it a natural choice for practice loads, action pistol competition and general range use. The round nose profile feeds smoothly through a wide range of semi-automatic pistol actions without the snag risk of a flat-meplat design. The full metal jacket encloses the nose completely, eliminating exposed lead and helping to prevent lead fouling in barrels. Unlike the thin-plated jackets used by lower-grade suppliers, Hornady's jacket is properly drawn and resists deformation on feed ramps and at impact. The cold swaged pure lead core delivers excellent concentricity and consistent performance. No expansion skives are present — this is a target and training bullet, not a defensive or hunting projectile.
