These are Hornady CX bullet heads in 6mm/.243in calibre at 90 grain, supplied as reloading components rather than factory ammunition, so you load them into your own cases to a recipe that suits your rifle. CX stands for Copper alloy eXpanding: a one-piece, lead-free monolithic bullet that holds together on impact and retains around 95% of its weight, giving deep, straight-line penetration on game. The polymer Heat Shield tip resists aerodynamic heating in flight and forms a consistent meplat for reliable bullet-to-bullet and lot-to-lot uniformity, while the grooved shank trims bearing surface and helps keep fouling down. As a lead-free design it is a sensible choice for stalkers working ground where non-lead bullets are required or preferred, and the 90-grain weight suits 6mm cartridges such as the .243 Winchester for everything from medium to larger deer. Sold as a pack of 50 component bullet heads for home loading; brass, primers and powder are bought separately. A firearms certificate covering the relevant calibre is required.
