The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 3-Die Set for 45/70 Government (.458) is designed for reloaders working with this classic American lever-action rifle calibre. The Full-Length Size Die sizes cases to SAAMI minimum specifications and uses a Zip Spindle — a standard feature on all Custom Grade full-length sizing dies — that locks positively to prevent slippage while allowing precise incremental adjustment or fast coarse movement without tools. The die carries a titanium nitride gold-ring finish, harder than carbide, so soft pistol brass or straight-wall rifle cases can be resized without lubrication and without scratching. The Pistol Style Expander die opens the case mouth with a slight bell, ensuring smooth powder and bullet insertion and correct neck tension. The Seating Die features an In-line Bullet Seating System that aligns bullet, case neck and seating stem in a floating sleeve before entry, giving consistent seating depth across the run; a built-in crimper handles roll crimping without occupying a separate press station. Sure-Loc lock rings clamp around the full die body for a secure hold. All dies are delivered in a stackable storage box. Thread is 7/8"-14 for all standard presses. No shell holder included.
