The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length Size Die for 308 Winchester is a single reloading die that resizes fired brass to SAAMI minimum specification, restoring case dimensions for consistent chambering and reliable feeding. Precision machined to a fine internal finish, the die body works without case sticking or excessive friction. The Elliptical Expander — a Hornady exclusive — delivers smooth neck sizing and measurably reduces case neck stretch compared with conventional ball expanders; internal threading holds it securely and eliminates the need for a separate neck-up die. The Zip Spindle positively locks the decapping and expander assembly, preventing slippage through either precise incremental adjustment via the light-thread system or rapid zip repositioning. The Sure-Loc lock ring applies uniform clamping pressure around the entire die body; its locking screw never contacts the threads, and incorporated wrench flats make removal and refitting straightforward.
