The Hornady Seating Stem for 270 calibre ELD-X 145 grain bullets is a precision-machined replacement component for Hornady Custom Grade seating dies. The 145 grain ELD-X in .270 calibre is a popular load for deer and hill stalking, and this stem is profiled specifically to its ogive — allowing the die to seat each bullet straight and to a repeatable depth without contacting or distorting the polymer tip. Uniform seating depth keeps cartridge overall length consistent from round to round, which stabilises chamber pressure and helps maintain tight velocity spread across a batch of loaded ammunition. This stem is designed for and compatible exclusively with Hornady Custom Grade seating dies; it will not fit dies from other manufacturers.
