The Hornady Shell Plate #2 is a precision-machined rotating steel plate built for the Hornady Lock-N-Load AP progressive press and the Projector press. It mounts into the press's central indexing platform and carries cartridge cases through each reloading station in sequence — from full-length sizing and decapping through to bullet seating and crimping. Hornady machines a subtle radius on each shell holder mouth so cases feed in and out without snagging, keeping your reloading run consistent. The retainer spring is designed to hold cases firmly in position during indexing while remaining easy to load and unload. Shell plates are numbered by case-head diameter group, meaning one plate may be suitable for several calibres with the same head size.
