The Marttiini Deluxe Skinner is a traditional Finnish hunting knife built for skinning and butchering work in the field. Made in Rovaniemi, it pairs a stainless steel blade with a waxed curly birch handle, a combination Marttiini has used successfully across its hunting range for years. The skinner-pattern blade is shaped for skinning and carving game — its fine point and belly suit opening a hide and working close around joints — but it isn't intended for splitting bone. Blade length is 11cm (around 4.3in), with a total length of 23cm (around 9in), and the knife is supplied with a genuine leather sheath for belt carry. The curly birch handle carries a protective wax finish that brings out the wood's natural figure while keeping it comfortable and secure in a wet or bloody grip — a detail that matters when gralloching or skinning deer in the field.
