The Oryx stock by MDT for the Howa 1500 long action (CIP 3.850) is built on an aluminium chassis with a full-length bedding block that cradles the action front to rear, eliminating flex and torque for repeatable accuracy. The barrel is fully free-floated, and a built-in barricade stop gives consistent contact on props and barricades. M-LOK slots are provided on the underside of the chassis. It accepts AICS pattern magazines, takes barrels up to 1.25 in diameter and weighs 4.2 lb. Length of pull can be changed with the optional spacer kit. Construction is 6061 aluminium with Type III hard anodising.
