The XRS forend weight is a single-piece steel weight that fills the MDT XRS forend, sliding in under the barrel. It adds 1 lb to the front of the chassis to tune the rifle's balance point and reduce felt recoil. It has a nitrided finish for corrosion resistance, measures approximately 10 x 1.125 x 0.5 in and clears barrel contours up to 1.25 in. An underside slot gives clearance for M-LOK nuts, and six #10-24 x 5/8 in cap screws are included for mounting. It fits the MDT XRS chassis only; chassis bought before 2021 may need the retro fit kit to accept it.
