The Morakniv Erik Frost 105 is a traditional Scandinavian woodcarving knife with a long heritage in the craft workshops of Mora, Sweden. Known as the Nusnäs Knife after the village where Dala horses are carved, it is the tool of choice for craftspeople who need precision on long, flowing cuts and fine decorative detail. The blade is 84 mm of French laminated carbon steel (100CR6) — a carbon steel core wrapped in softer steel — ground to a Scandi Zero profile at 26–28°. This construction delivers exceptional edge retention and toughness under lateral pressure, reaching 58.5 HRC while remaining straightforward to sharpen in the field. At 2.7 mm thick the blade is stiff rather than flexible, keeping cuts controlled and repeatable. The shaped birch handle is contoured for an ergonomic grip and fitted with a finger guard for safe, confident paring strokes. A full rat-tail tang runs the length of the handle for solid, vibration-free feel. Total length is 205 mm and weight is 71.2 g. Assembled and heat-treated at the Morakniv factory in Mora, Sweden.
