The Morakniv Frosts Narrow Fillet Knife is a purpose-built fish filleting knife from Mora of Sweden, a manufacturer with more than a century of blade-making experience. The 155mm blade is ground from Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel and deep-refrigeration hardened at -80°C to achieve a nominal hardness of 58 HRC — giving it the edge retention needed for repeated filleting passes while remaining flexible enough to follow the contour of the fish and separate flesh cleanly from skin and bone. The narrow blade profile is key: it lets you work with precision around pin bones and along the backbone without tearing. The black polypropylene handle is glass-fibre reinforced, giving a firm, non-slip grip even when hands are wet and cold — essential on a riverbank or boat deck. Compact at around 292mm overall, this is an honest working knife that belongs in any angler's kit, and it is equally capable for game preparation in the field.
