The Parker-Hale Wool Mop in 16 gauge is a simple, dependable tool for the final stage of cleaning a shotgun bore. Made in the UK from quality wool, it is soft and lint-resistant, so it leaves an even film of oil down the barrel after the brushing and patching is done. That last pass is what guards against corrosion between outings, and a wool mop does it without scratching the bore or shedding fibres the way a worn patch can. The mop is threaded to fit Parker-Hale cleaning rods, and the same thread is found on some Bisley rods, so it screws straight onto a kit you may already own. Sized specifically for 16-bore barrels, it fills the bore properly to carry oil right to the walls rather than rattling loosely down an oversized barrel.
