This is the genuine Bruni spare spring for the flap on the BFR38 blank-firing revolver, catalogued as Part 15. The flap spring provides the return tension for the loading gate — the hinged flap on the right side of the frame that opens to allow individual cartridge loading and ejection on a single-action style revolver. When this spring fatigues or breaks the loading gate will fail to close firmly or snap back correctly after loading, which can lead to misfires or cartridges not seating fully. Bruni produces this spring to the original specification, ensuring the correct pre-load so the loading gate operates with the right amount of resistance. Supplied as a single replacement spring, it is a direct fit for the BFR38 and can be fitted during a standard strip-down of the revolver. Recommended to be kept as a service spare by anyone who uses the BFR38 regularly, as small springs are among the first components to fatigue with sustained use.
