The Pixfra Mile 2 M215M is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular for night-time deer stalking, foxing and pest control. At its heart is a 256×192, 12μm thermal sensor with <35mK NETD, paired with a 15mm f1.0 objective lens giving a detection range of up to 800m. Images are shown on an 800×600, 0.32in OLED display at 2.33x base magnification, with 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom and a choice of six colour palettes including white hot, black hot and iron red. The "M" in the model name sets it apart from the standard Mile 2 M215: it adds manual focus control, letting you fine-tune the image rather than relying on a fixed-focus lens. Built-in Wi-Fi connects to up to four smart devices over the free Pixfra app for group observation and image sharing, and the monocular records video and stills to 16GB of internal storage. An IP67 rating and an operating range of –30°C to +55°C mean it copes with a British winter on the hill, and a single charge of the rechargeable battery runs for up to 8.5 hours. At 270g it's light enough to carry all night, and comes complete with a soft pouch, neck strap and wrist strap.
