The Pulsar Wildlife Lumion XL50 is the brand's flagship handheld thermal imaging monocular, built around a large-format 1024×768, 12 µm European-made Lynred sensor with an exceptional <20 mK sNETD sensitivity rating. Paired with a fast-aperture 50 mm f/1.0 germanium objective lens, the XL50 achieves a detection range of up to 2,300 m and delivers sharp, detailed imagery across its full 2.5–20x magnification range. The native-resolution 1024×768 AMOLED display renders every scene with clarity, supported by Pulsar's Image Boost processing algorithms that enhance contrast and detail across a wide range of halftones. Eight colour palettes — including White Hot, Black Hot, Rainbow and Sepia — let you adapt quickly to changing observation conditions or specific tasks such as scanning open ground at dusk or tracking deer movement through cover. A 64 GB internal memory stores hours of audio-enabled video (.mp4) and thousands of still images (.jpg) at a single button press, and the Wild Vision app connects via Wi-Fi for remote control, live streaming to a smartphone screen, media download, and wireless firmware updates. The rubber-armoured reinforced plastic body carries an IPX7 waterproof rating and operates reliably from -25°C to +40°C, while the LPS 7i Li-Ion battery delivers up to 7 hours of field use from a single charge.
