- Parker-Hale one-piece rifle cleaning rod for .17 calibre rifles
- Hardened and tempered steel core with tough acetate coating
- Ball-bearing handle spins freely so brushes follow the rifling
- Brass fittings resist corrosion at the working end
- Male Parker-Hale thread fits Parker-Hale jags, mops and brushes directly
- 37in length suited to rimfire and small-bore centrefire barrels
- Grey rod with black handle identifies it as a .17 calibre rod
Parker-Hale's one-piece rifle cleaning rod is built around a hardened and tempered steel core, protected by a tough acetate coating so the rod never puts bare metal against the rifling as it travels down the bore. The ball-bearing handle spins freely in use, letting a brush or jag follow the barrel's twist rather than scraping across the lands, and brass fittings at the working end keep corrosion at bay. This version is a grey rod with a black handle, sized for the .17 calibre band, and runs 37 inches long, enough for a clean single-stroke pass through a rimfire or small-bore centrefire barrel. The male thread is cut to the Parker-Hale pattern, so it takes Parker-Hale jags, mops and brushes directly without an adapter, making it a natural fit for anyone already running a Parker-Hale kit. A precise, well-made rod for keeping a .17 calibre rifle's bore in good condition between outings.
