The RIX Optics Pocket K2 is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular built for night-time observation, vermin control and deer stalking. At its core is a 256×192 VOx uncooled sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch and NETD below 25mK, refreshing at 50Hz for a smooth, detailed thermal picture even in low light or heavy cover. The 9mm, F1.0 objective lens gives a 19.4° field of view and 1.7x base magnification, extending to 6.8x with digital zoom, and the sensor will pick out warm targets out to 468m. Images are shown on a sharp 800×600 OLED display, and the unit records photos and video straight to its 32GB of built-in memory. Built-in Wi-Fi links to the RIX+ app on Android or iOS for live image streaming and wireless firmware updates. Weighing just 200g and rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, the Pocket K2 is genuinely pocketable for a stalk or a night on vermin, and runs for up to 6 hours from a single 18650 battery, with USB-C charging for quick top-ups in the field.
