Sierra's 7mm (.284) 183 grain HPBT MatchKing (#1983) is a precision reloading bullet built for long-range target and match shooting, supplied here in packs of 100. The hollow point boat tail design uses a sleek elongated ogive with a meplat-reducing pointing process, giving a high ballistic coefficient (0.707 at 2300 fps and above) for strong wind resistance and velocity retention downrange. A bearing surface-to-ogive junction machined to the same 1.5-degree angle found in match rifle chamber throats helps keep the bullet aligned true to the bore for consistent, repeatable accuracy. Sectional density is 0.324, and Sierra recommends a barrel twist rate of 1-in-8in or faster to stabilise this bullet properly. As with all MatchKing bullets, this is a target and competition design rather than a hunting bullet, and is not recommended for most hunting applications. Supplied as bullets only, for handloaders assembling their own ammunition — this is not loaded ammunition and requires no firearms licence to purchase. A trusted choice for 7mm/.284 shooters working up long-range match loads.
