This three-pack of Tipton bronze bore brushes is sized specifically for the 12-gauge shotgun barrel, giving you a precise fit that scrubs the full bore without slop. The bristles are phosphor bronze, stiff enough to bite into baked-on plastic wad fouling, powder residue and carbon left behind after a day on the clays or in the field, yet softer than the steel of the barrel so they lift the muck without scoring the bore. Each brush is built on a single piece of wire that runs through a threaded coupler, so the core stays put rather than parting company inside the barrel. The 5/16-27 thread is the standard coarse fitting used on shotgun cleaning rods, so the brushes screw straight onto the rods and adaptors most British shooters already own. Run a brush through with a little solvent, follow with a jag and patches or a mop to dry, and the barrel is ready to store. Buying three at a time means a fresh brush on hand once the bristles soften with use.
