- Outlasts typical plastic or synthetic cleaning tips
- Threaded 5/16 in-27 to fit standard shotgun cleaning rods
- Slot holds a cleaning patch securely for flooding the bore with solvent or wiping with oil
- Made by Tipton, a well-established US gun-care brand
- Covered by Tipton's limited lifetime warranty
The Tipton Solid Brass Slotted Tip is a universal shotgun cleaning jag that fits standard 5/16 in-27 threaded cleaning rods, giving you a reliable way to run a patch through the bore. Solid brass is deliberately softer than barrel steel, so there is no risk of scratching or wearing the bore the way a hard synthetic tip can over time, and brass will comfortably outlast the typical plastic tip supplied with cheaper kits. The slot grips a cleaning patch firmly, letting you flood the barrel with solvent to break down fouling or follow up with a light coat of oil to protect the bore between outings. Simple, purpose-built and low-maintenance, it is the kind of accessory that earns its place in a cleaning kit precisely because it does one job well and keeps doing it. Whether you are running a full clean after a day on the peg or a quick wipe-down before the gun goes back in the cabinet, this tip threads straight onto a standard cleaning rod and gets to work. Backed by Tipton's limited lifetime warranty, it is a sound, inexpensive upgrade over the tips shotguns are usually sold with.
