The Resetting Cowboy is a self-resetting steel knockdown target from Tom's Targets, built for airgun plinking and repeat-fire practice. Shoot down the cowboy silhouette and it resets automatically once the lower gong is struck, so you can keep shooting the same target without walking downrange to reset it by hand. It carries two kill zones — 20mm and 25mm — giving an easier and a more testing aiming point on the one target, handy for building consistency at typical airgun ranges. The target measures 160mm x 310mm and is made in the UK from 3mm mild steel, rated for airguns up to 12 ft/lb. As with any mild steel airgun target, expect some surface rust to appear with outdoor use and repeated impacts — this is cosmetic and doesn't affect function. It's suited to garden and permitted range use with a sub-12 ft/lb air rifle or pistol; always shoot at sensible airgun distances and keep it away from high-energy FAC airguns, which it isn't rated for.
