This is the replacement stud for Vortex's Pro Binocular Tripod Adapter system, sold on its own so you can fit a second (or third) pair of binoculars for quick tripod use. The full adapter is a two-part design: a base that lives on your tripod's quick-release plate, and a stud that fits permanently into the 1/4"-20 threaded socket on the front of your binocular's bridge hinge. Once the stud is in place, that pair of binoculars clicks straight onto the base without tools, and swaps out again just as fast for another stud-equipped pair. It's the answer if you own more than one set of tripod-adaptable binoculars but only want to buy the adapter base once, or if you've mislaid your original stud and need a spare. Note that this listing is the stud only — you'll need the Vortex Pro Binocular Adapter base to actually mount to a tripod.
