Two hi-gain omnidirectional microphones and full dynamic range HD speakers pick up ambient sound and range commands clearly, while sound-activated compression reacts in 0.02 seconds to clamp down on gunfire and other loud reports, protecting hearing to a 23dB Noise Reduction Rating. Independent volume control via recessed knobs lets each ear be set to taste, and an audio input jack allows a radio or music player to be plugged straight in. The sound-dampening composite shell keeps weight down, and a comfort headband with a metal wire frame spreads the load evenly for long days of wear.
