The ZEISS Flip-Up Cover for 24 mm objective lenses screws into the objective filter thread and gives the front glass proper protection between shots. The hinge locks, so the cover can be fixed open at whatever angle suits the rifle and the shooter, and it stays there rather than swinging back across the lens. It opens quietly, which matters when an animal is already close.
