BushTukka: Venison Shish Kebab

Continuing on from the previous BushTukka BBQ recipes to celebrate summer and shooting what you eat, we tried and tested some home made venison kababs.  Succulent, delicious and moreish!  We even added some veg just to make sure you are getting your five a day.  Given them a whirl and let us know what you think. 

Ingredients:

  • 5lbs Venison, cut into chunks
  •  Vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
  • 6 white onions, cut into large chunks
  • 8 bell peppers, cut into large chunks
  • Jalapeno jerky seasoning (96.4g)

Method:

Dissolve the seasoning in 600ml water, place the venison chunks and dissolved seasoning into a large bowl and cover the bowl with clingfilm and leave to marinade in the fridge for at least 8 hours.

Preheat your BBQ. While the grill is heating, remove the venison from marinade and squeeze off any excess. Thread the venison cubes onto the skewers, alternating with onion and peppers, brush with a light coating of vegetable oil.

Now cook to your desired taste, it should take about 10 minutes in total for medium-rare.
