The Amblers Safety AS1004 is a 100% metal free safety wellington, rated S5 SRC, built for sites and processing environments where metal-detection compliance and slip resistance both matter. In place of a conventional steel toe and midsole it uses a fibreglass toecap rated to 200 Joules of impact protection, with isolation technology that keeps it protective down to -30°C/-22°F, and a Kevlar midsole giving 1100N of anti-penetration protection underfoot. The upper is reinforced front and rear for durability, and a plain-tread sole keeps full contact with the ground for grip in wet, oily or otherwise demanding conditions. An energy-absorbing heel and an easy pull-off design add comfort over a long shift, while the extra-smooth exterior finish is designed to be quick to clean and disinfect, which suits food preparation, larder and kennel work as much as general site use. Amblers also rate it for higher resistance to abrasion, chemicals, oils and temperature extremes than a standard wellington. Because every safety component is genuinely metal free rather than a composite-toe compromise, it is suited to metal-detector-controlled sites as well as everyday wet-weather trade work.
