The Amblers Safety Detonate AS964C is a rugged, metal-free 8" safety boot with a YKK side zip, built for keepering, kennel, larder and trade work on sites where steel-capped footwear isn't allowed. Instead of steel it carries a lightweight composite toe cap rated to 200 joules of impact protection and a non-metallic, penetration-resistant midsole rated to 1100 newtons, so there's no cold-conducting metal underfoot. The side zip gives quick on-and-off wear while the laces still adjust for a secure, customised fit. A water-resistant full-grain leather upper and internal waterproof membrane keep the boot dry, and a Thinsulate lining adds warmth for outdoor winter work. A moulded rubber toe guard and heel counter protect the wear points, a deep padded mesh collar and cushioned, removable PU footbed with arch support look after comfort, and the Phylon midsole absorbs shock. The deep-cleated rubber outsole grips on wet, oily or muddy ground and is tested to the ladder-grip standard for climbing safely on rungs. The boot carries an overall S7S rating, adding cold insulation, scuff cap protection, fuel-oil resistance and heat resistance to 300°C — a dependable choice for demanding outdoor and trade work through a British winter.
