The Bisley Slug HP is made by H&N (Haendler & Natermann) and represents a significant step on from traditional diabolo pellets. Where a standard pellet uses a waisted skirt to seal the bore, the Slug HP has a true bullet profile — cylindrical with a hollow-point nose — that delivers a far superior ballistic coefficient of 0.08 for its calibre. In .177 (4.5mm) at 10 grains it is the lightest option in the Slug HP range, suited to rifles producing at least 12 ft.lbs at the muzzle. At that power level it will reach out to 100 metres with a flatter trajectory and better retained energy than any conventional .177 pellet. The hollow-point cavity promotes controlled expansion on impact, making these slugs well suited to small-game and pest-control work — rats, squirrels, pigeons and corvids are all realistic quarry. Each tin contains 400 precision-formed lead slugs manufactured to H&N's exacting tolerances.
