The H&N Slug HP Heavy is a swaged hollow-point slug designed for high-power PCP air rifles shooting .25 calibre (6.35mm) slug barrels. At 38 grains and .249" head diameter, it offers a higher ballistic coefficient than conventional diabolo pellets, retaining energy and shooting flat trajectories at ranges well beyond 50 metres. The large-meplat hollow point is formed from soft lead and coated with a special lubricant to reduce barrel friction; on impact it expands reliably, delivering maximum energy transfer for a quick, humane kill. Developed in close collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a recognised expert in airgun hunting and competitive field shooting, the Heavy Slug extends the H&N range to heavier weights for rifles generating 40 Joules or more. Each tin contains 120 slugs, giving ample supply for zeroing, load development, and a full hunting season. The dish base seats consistently in the breech for repeatable accuracy round after round.
