The Caldwell Universal Rear Shooting Bag supports the butt of your rifle on the bench and works alongside whichever front rest you already own. The contact surfaces are leather, gripping the stock for a secure, consistent rest shot after shot, while the polyester body will not stretch or sag, so the bag keeps its shape through seasons of range use. This is the unfilled version: the bag arrives empty and you fill it yourself with dry silica sand or another inert filler, which keeps delivery weight down and lets you tune the weight and firmness to suit the way you shoot. The standard rear bag is sized to pair with the 4 inch centre post on Caldwell's The Rock front rest and other similar designs, and it functions with most brands of front rest. A simple, hard-wearing piece of kit for zeroing a stalking rifle, developing loads or steady benchrest practice.
