The FX Superior Heavy Smooth Twist X (STX) barrel liner is a replacement rifled liner for FX PCP air rifles, produced using FX's patented process of pressing the rifling into the outside of the barrel. This 600mm liner is chambered in .22 calibre and features a 1:16" twist rate. The "Heavy" designation does not refer to a thicker barrel wall — per FX, it denotes a different twist rate specifically optimised for heavier pellets and heavier slugs, rather than lightweight projectiles such as the FX Hybrid Slug, which are better served by the standard Superior liner. It is sold as a standalone accessory and is not bundled with barrel kits. The longer 600mm length gives a greater sight radius and more dwell time for the propellant charge, which can benefit consistency at extended range. Compatible platforms include the FX Impact, Crown, Wildcat and Dreamline. This liner is the right choice if your .22 setup is built around heavier cast or swaged slugs.
