The Gerber Magniplier 7.5in Split Ring Pliers are hot-forged for serious saltwater and freshwater fishing use, built specifically to open Size 2-10 split rings cleanly for quick rigging and lure changes. Gerber's BearHand control system shapes the handles at an angled, off-axis geometry with a finger choil, spreading the grip for real leverage without strain, while a SALTRx coating protects the tool against corrosion in harsh saltwater environments. The jaws carry exchangeable, reversible carbide cutters and exchangeable outboard fasteners, so worn cutting edges can be replaced rather than the whole tool retired, and a plunge-lock mechanism keeps the split-ring tips engaged until you choose to release them. A tether point with lanyard included, plus a nylon sheath with belt loop, mean the pliers stay attached and to hand on a moving boat or riverbank rather than lost overboard.
