The Harris 1A2-BR2 is a fixed-base bipod built for bolt-action rifles with a conventional stock and sling-swivel stud. The 1A2 base is non-swivel — it does not pan or tilt — giving a solid, stable platform for prone and bench-rest shooting where a consistent cheek weld matters. Legs extend from 6 to 9 inches via a quick-adjust mechanism: pull the legs down, set your desired height, and lock each one in place with the thumb screw; there is no need to break position. Spring return folds the legs forward toward the muzzle when not in use, so they stay out of the way on the stalk or during a carry. Construction is heat-treated steel and hard aluminium alloy, finished in matte black, and the whole unit weighs under 10 oz — light enough that it adds little to the carry weight of a stalking rifle. Harris bipods are made entirely in the USA and have been the benchmark for field bipods for decades.
