Hornady American Whitetail in 25-06 Remington loads a 117-grain InterLock Boat-Tail Soft Point bullet — a weight and calibre combination that has accounted for red and roe deer across two continents for decades. The InterLock ring, a raised band embedded in the bullet's core, locks core and jacket together during expansion so the bullet retains mass and energy right through the animal rather than shedding its jacket on impact. The secant ogive profile slips cleanly through the air, and with a muzzle velocity of 2,990 fps and 2,322 ft-lb of energy from a 24-inch test barrel, there is no shortage of striking power at any reasonable deer-stalking range. Powder charge is matched to the 25-06 case for consistent pressure and velocity, and the load is reliable in semi-automatic rifles as well as bolt-actions. Brass-cased and boxer-primed throughout. Sold in a 20-round box. Requires a Firearm Certificate (FAC) to purchase in the UK.
