The Hornady ELD Match in 6.5mm (.264 diameter), 147 grains, is one of the heaviest options in the ELD Match line for the 6.5mm calibre, offering handloaders a high-BC bullet that retains velocity and resists wind drift at extreme range. The 6.5mm calibre is widely regarded for its exceptional sectional density and ballistic coefficient, and the 147-grain weight takes full advantage of both — well suited to fast-twist barrels running cartridges such as the 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5×47 Lapua or 6.5-284 Norma. The Heat Shield tip is the core of the ELD Match design — a polymer meplat immune to aerodynamic heating in flight, maintaining its exact shape to keep the ballistic coefficient consistent throughout the bullet's trajectory. A streamlined secant ogive and optimum boattail work alongside highly concentric AMP bullet jackets to deliver the highest possible BC in class.
