The Hornady HAP® (Hornady Action Pistol) 9mm .356" 125 grain is a component bullet designed specifically for competition handloaders. Developed from the XTP® bullet platform, the HAP® takes the proven XTP profile and refines it for action pistol use by removing the expansion-aiding serrations, producing a clean, sleek projectile optimised for accuracy rather than terminal performance. The protected nose — fully enclosed by a gilding metal jacket — eliminates exposed lead at the tip, reducing the risk of feed jams in autoloading competition pistols where reliability is critical. The jacket is manufactured to exacting concentricity tolerances, and the lead core is cold swaged from pure lead for outstanding shot-to-shot consistency. The result is a balanced, stable bullet that delivers the flat-shooting accuracy demanded by IPSC, USPSA and similar action pistol disciplines. Sold as component bullets for handloading — these are bare projectiles, not loaded ammunition, and no firearms certificate is required to purchase them in the UK.
