The Hornady Cam Lock™ Bullet Puller (Item #050095) is a press-mounted tool designed to disassemble loaded rifle cartridges quickly and without damage. Where a kinetic (hammer-style) puller can mark or deform projectiles, the Cam Lock clamps directly onto the bullet using a calibre-specific collet, then a single downward stroke of the press handle draws the bullet cleanly from the case. Both the bullet and brass are preserved in usable condition, and the powder drops back for recovery and reuse — a practical arrangement for reloaders correcting a bad batch or salvaging components from discontinued loads. The tool threads into any standard 7/8"-14 reloading press station and works across the full range of rifle calibres, from .172 up to .458, by swapping the appropriate collet. Collets are sold separately and numbered #1 through #14 to cover popular rifle bullet diameters. Note that the Cam Lock is designed for rifle cartridges only and is not suitable for cast bullets.
