The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller Collet #3 is sized for .243 calibre bullets and works exclusively with the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller. The collet closes around the bullet shank as the puller is tightened, gripping it firmly enough to draw the projectile cleanly from the case without marking or deforming it. This makes it straightforward to recover the bullet, powder charge and brass intact — useful when a load needs to be reworked, a mistake corrected, or surplus rounds broken down for component salvage. The cam-lock mechanism delivers controlled, consistent pressure at the collet, making it noticeably gentler on jacketed and lead-core bullets than an inertia hammer-style puller. The .243 size suits the widely used 6mm bullet diameter. Collets are calibre-specific; this #3 collet is for .243 cal projectiles only. Sold individually.
