The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 4-Die Set for 460 S&W (.452) gives reloaders a complete four-stage solution for one of the most powerful production revolvers cartridges in existence. The Full-Length Size Die sizes cases to SAAMI minimum specifications and carries a titanium nitride gold-ring finish — harder than carbide — so no lubrication is needed on straight-wall pistol brass. The Zip Spindle locks positively and allows both fine incremental adjustment and rapid coarse movement without additional tools. The Pistol Style Expander die opens the case mouth with a controlled bell for smooth powder and bullet insertion. The Seating Die employs Hornady's In-line Bullet Seating System, which aligns bullet, case neck and seating stem in a floating sleeve before entry for consistent seating depth; a built-in crimper handles roll crimping without using a separate press station. The dedicated fourth Crimp Die removes the case mouth flare and applies a heavy crimp to lock bullet in place — an important step with the high operating pressures and heavy recoil of the 460 S&W cartridge. Sure-Loc lock rings are fitted to all four dies, which are delivered in a stackable storage box. Thread is 7/8"-14 for all standard presses. No shell holder included.
