The Hornady Iron Press Auto Prime Upgrade (item #085570) converts the Lock-N-Load Iron Press into a more efficient single-stage reloading station by adding a gravity-fed automatic priming system. Once fitted, primers feed continuously from the tube into the housing without the reloader having to pause between strokes, freeing both hands for case handling and allowing multiple processes — sizing, priming, powder charging — to proceed in quick succession. The kit supplies everything needed for the conversion: the automatic priming system assembly itself, large and small primer tubes to suit both large and small primer sizes, matching large and small primer pick-up tubes for drawing primers from the tray, a primer housing tube, a primer catch tray to contain spent or dropped primers, and a small parts bag. Compatible with the Hornady Lock-N-Load Iron Press; the press accepts standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies via the Lock-N-Load bushing system.
