The Hornady Lock-N-Load Classic Single Primer Tube for Large Primers is a replacement and spare pickup tube for use with the automatic priming feed on the Lock-N-Load Classic single-stage reloading press. Loading primers by hand one at a time is slow; the Lock-N-Load Classic's automatic feed system uses these tubes to pre-stage a batch of primers so the press can seat them without interruption. To load the tube, press the primer pickup at the end of the tube down onto each individual primer in the primer tray — the tube picks up and retains each primer hands-free, avoiding direct skin contact with primer compounds. The tube holds up to 70 large primers and can be loaded in advance and kept in reserve, so when one tube is empty you can swap in a pre-loaded spare without halting the press. This tube is specifically sized for large primers (large rifle and large pistol); the equivalent tube for small primers is sold separately.
