The Hornady Lock-N-Load® Power Case Prep Large Calibre Inside Diameter Chamfer is a precision case-preparation bit designed for reloaders working with .45 calibre and larger cartridges. Chamfering the inside of a case mouth removes the burr left after trimming, allowing bullets to be seated cleanly and consistently without shaving jacket material or misaligning the projectile. Threaded 8-32, this hardened steel bit fits directly into the Hornady Power Case Prep Center and Case Prep Trio, letting you run the chamfering operation at power-tool speed rather than turning a hand tool. The large-calibre version covers .45 Cal. and above, making it the correct choice for rounds such as .45 ACP, .45-70 Government and other large-bore rifle or pistol cases. Used as part of a full case-prep routine — trim, chamfer inside, deburr outside — it contributes to the dimensional consistency that handloaders rely on for accurate, repeatable loads.
